Protects Your Bench Top & Your Gun's Finish

Gunsmith's bench mats are a dime a dozen and often treated almost as disposable items. When we decided to develop a new one of our own, we wanted to offer something of excellent quality that was durable and also looked good. This Brownells Non-Slip Bench Mat is made of a very flexible, solvent- and oil-resistant synthetic rubber material. It's so pliable it will lie perfectly flat EVEN after you've had it rolled up for a long time.

By "bench mat" we mean it covers most of the top of your gunsmithing workbench! The large 35.4" (90cm) x 15.7" (40cm) size means almost any part or sub assembly you're working on will not extend past the edges of the mat. And it truly is "non-slip". The rubber base has plenty of adhesion, so once you position this mat on the bench top, it will not slip around while you work.

The synthetic silk-like top fabric positively cannot scratch or abrade even delicate blued finishes, AND it offers something we have not seen on any other bench mat currently on the market. The edges are stitched all the way around. Technically, this is called a "serged edge," and it means the top fabric will not peel away and separate from the rubber base. We've all probably had that happen with bench mats over the years, or at least with a mouse pad (remember those?). This edge also provides a neat, beveled transition from the mat to the bench surface surrounding it, rather than a sharp, pronounced ledge.

The top fabric is in the warm, comforting Brownells colors. The brown cuts down on glare from overhead lights, and the chrome yellow provides plenty of contrast with any pins, screws, and small gun parts you place there. Our logo is tastefully applied at the top left, so everybody who visits your shop will know who is your favorite gun parts/gunsmithing tools supplier!

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these brass cases and reloading components factory-new or once-fired? +

We stock both premium factory-new components and high-quality once-fired brass. Please check the specific product listing title and description carefully; once-fired brass is fully inspected, but we always recommend resizing and inspecting prior to priming and powder charging.

Will this case trimmer gauge or die set work with my progressive press setup? +

Our standard reloading dies and case length trimmer accessories utilize industry-standard threads (typically 7/8"-14) compatible with major single-stage, turret, and progressive presses like RCBS, Hornady, Lee Precision, and Dillon. Caliber-specific trim gauges must match your exact brass caliber.

Do you enforce shipping restrictions on powder, primers, or live ammunition? +

Yes. Non-hazardous reloading equipment (dies, case length trimmers, gauges, and unprimed brass) ships via standard ground carriers with no extra fees. Any orders containing smokeless powders or primers will incur standard federal HazMat handling fees and cannot be shipped via air transportation.

How can I track my shipment to ensure delivery safety? +

Precision reloading gear is valuable, so all orders are shipped with tracking enabled. As soon as your package is dispatched from our inventory warehouse, a tracking number will be emailed to you. You can monitor your shipment directly on our Track Order page using your unique Order ID.

Can I return precision measuring tools or die components if they don’t fit? +

We accept returns on unused, unaltered tools, case preparation equipment, and unopened component boxes within 30 days of item delivery. Due to safety and strict quality control on the reloading bench, we absolutely cannot accept returns on opened packs of primers, smokeless powder, or processed brass casings.
