HENRY REPEATING ARMS H12 EXPLORER .44 MAGNUM/.44 SPL LEVER ACTION CARBINE

The H12 Explorer in .44 Magnum/.44 Special takes everything shooters love about a classic Henry lever gun and builds it into a compact carbine built for real-world adventure. Whether you’re out on the back 40, chasing whitetails through the timber, or knocking steel with friends, this rifle brings dependable power and unmistakable Henry character in every shot.

The Explorer’s 16.5” Burnt Bronze Cerakote steel barrel and receiver deliver a rugged, weather-ready finish made to stand up to hard use without losing its handsome, working-gun appeal. Chambering .44 Magnum gives you the punch needed for hunting, while .44 Special provides a softer-shooting option perfect for long days on the range.

True to Henry tradition, operation is smooth, intuitive, and confidence-inspiring. The fully adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and brass bead front give you the fast sight picture lever-action shooters favor, and the drilled and tapped receiver makes adding a scope or optic an easy upgrade. A 1:20 twist stabilizes both light and heavy bullets, giving the Explorer flexibility across loads and shooting styles.

The rifle’s American Walnut pistol-grip stock fits naturally in the hands, offering warmth, control, and the kind of craftsmanship you only get from real wood. A ventilated rubber recoil pad makes magnum practice more enjoyable, while the compact 34” overall length makes the Explorer exceptionally maneuverable in thick brush, tight blinds, or truck-gun duty.

A 5/8×24 threaded barrel opens the door for suppressors and other muzzle devices, and sling swivel studs are ready for field carry at a moment’s notice. With its blend of modern features, timeless styling, and born-ready reliability, the H12 Explorer delivers exactly what a Henry lever gun should: a rifle you’ll trust, use hard, pass down, and be proud to own.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these brass cases and reloading components factory-new or once-fired? +

We stock both premium factory-new components and high-quality once-fired brass. Please check the specific product listing title and description carefully; once-fired brass is fully inspected, but we always recommend resizing and inspecting prior to priming and powder charging.

Will this case trimmer gauge or die set work with my progressive press setup? +

Our standard reloading dies and case length trimmer accessories utilize industry-standard threads (typically 7/8"-14) compatible with major single-stage, turret, and progressive presses like RCBS, Hornady, Lee Precision, and Dillon. Caliber-specific trim gauges must match your exact brass caliber.

Do you enforce shipping restrictions on powder, primers, or live ammunition? +

Yes. Non-hazardous reloading equipment (dies, case length trimmers, gauges, and unprimed brass) ships via standard ground carriers with no extra fees. Any orders containing smokeless powders or primers will incur standard federal HazMat handling fees and cannot be shipped via air transportation.

How can I track my shipment to ensure delivery safety? +

Precision reloading gear is valuable, so all orders are shipped with tracking enabled. As soon as your package is dispatched from our inventory warehouse, a tracking number will be emailed to you. You can monitor your shipment directly on our Track Order page using your unique Order ID.

Can I return precision measuring tools or die components if they don’t fit? +

We accept returns on unused, unaltered tools, case preparation equipment, and unopened component boxes within 30 days of item delivery. Due to safety and strict quality control on the reloading bench, we absolutely cannot accept returns on opened packs of primers, smokeless powder, or processed brass casings.
